About Scottish MINI
A single-make championship for 2001–2006 1.6 Mini Cooper race cars run by the Scottish Motor Racing Club, with identical Yokohama tyres and a common ECU to keep the cars equal. Its three-race format borrows from the BTCC: qualifying sets the Race 1 grid, Race 1 sets Race 2, and Race 3 has a drawn partial reverse grid. BTCC drivers Rory Butcher, Aiden Moffat and Chris Smiley all came through it.
