Terms of use
Last updated: 3 September 2026
Trackside is a young service, still finding its feet. By using it — with or without an account — you accept these short terms. It's run by an individual developer in the UK, and these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
The data can be imperfect
Event, meeting, and timetable information is gathered from organisers' and circuits' public calendars, largely automatically. Dates move, meetings get cancelled, and sources are sometimes wrong or late — always verify with the organiser before you travel or buy tickets. Trackside is a planning aid, not an official source, and we accept no liability for decisions made on the strength of it. The same goes double for the chat assistant, whose answers are generated by an AI and can be confidently wrong.
Expect rough edges
Features may change, break, or disappear, and the service may be unavailable at times. Browsing needs no account; creating one is free and optional. We'll treat your data with care (see the privacy policy), but it's provided as-is, without warranties.
You need to be 13 or over
Trackside isn't built for children, and we can't knowingly hold accounts for under-13s. If you're under 18, check with a parent or guardian first.
Be decent
Reviews, photos, captions, crew messages, display names, avatars, and reports must be lawful and respectful. No scraping the service, probing its security, or using it to spam. We may remove content, and suspend or delete accounts, that break this — and photos are checked by a moderator before they appear publicly.
What you post stays yours
You keep ownership of your reviews, photos, and captions. By posting them you give us permission to store and display them on Trackside, which is simply what's needed to show them to other people. Delete them, or your account, and that permission ends — only post things you have the right to post, which for photos means ones you took or have permission to use.
Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts that help cover hosting. They buy no features, guarantee nothing, and aren't refundable. Payment is handled entirely by Ko-fi under their terms.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Security. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we ever have to shut the service down — in which case we'll give as much notice as we reasonably can.
