Circuit
Velopark is a motorsport complex in Nova Santa Rita, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, roughly 30 km from Porto Alegre alongside highway BR-386. One of the largest such facilities in South America, the site first opened in 2008 with a quarter-mile drag strip and three kart circuits, including South America's only karting oval. A 2.3 km road course was added in 2010, using the drag strip as its main straight and combining long straights with tight corners to encourage close racing. After early testing exposed a problematic first corner, management quickly built a new chicane and revised pit exit, lengthening the lap to its current 2.278 km. The venue's headline event is the annual round of Stock Car Brasil, first held in 2010, and it has also hosted TCR South America, the Brazilian Formula Three Championship, Porsche Cup Brasil, Fórmula Truck and Sudamericano de GT. Extensive facilities include 24 garages, a three-tier control tower and grandstands for tens of thousands of spectators. The circuit gained the name Autódromo FuelTech Velopark after the Brazilian engine-management manufacturer FuelTech acquired naming rights for the 2026 season.
