Circuit
The Super Óvalo Potosino, formerly known as Autódromo Potosino, is a half-mile paved oval located near San Luis Potosí in Mexico. Originally opened in 1983 as a 0.770 mi (1.239 km) road course, it was built by Promotodo, an enterprise owned by Michel Jourdain Sr. After several years of disuse, the track was rebuilt in 2005 as a half-mile oval to host NASCAR events. It is primarily used by the NASCAR Mexico Series, alongside a few local events. A notable event occurred in 2009 when a race scheduled for May 3 was cancelled due to the swine flu outbreak, later rescheduled for August 16 and won by Jorge Goeters.
