Circuit
Pheasant Wood Circuit is a compact racing and driver-training venue located about 9 kilometres south-west of Marulan, off Jerrara Road in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. It opened in 2009 as the Marulan Driver Training Centre, a clockwise 0.9-kilometre layout of seven turns designed for learning car control at relatively low speeds. An extension in 2014 lengthened the track to one kilometre under original owner Gary Willmington. After Steve Shelley bought the property in late 2016, a major rebuild began in late 2017 and the reworked circuit reopened in May 2018. The redevelopment replaced the old infield dirt oval with a new sequence of corners, widened the track in many places and sealed all of the run-off areas. The current configuration stretches to 1.4 kilometres across nine corners and notably includes the only two banked corners on any circuit in New South Wales. The site also retains a dirt extension used for rallycross events, broadening its appeal. It is a popular venue for club sprints, motorcycle racing, track days and driver training rather than national-level competition.
