Circuit
Parcmotor Castelloli is a Spanish motorsport complex in the municipality of Castelloli, around an hour northwest of Barcelona in Catalonia. The roughly 100-hectare facility was built in stages by the Catalan Motorcycling Federation with support from the regional government, the motocross circuit opening first in 2002. Construction of the main racetrack began in 2004 and it was inaugurated in March 2009, designed primarily as a motorcycle track with input from Spanish riders Alex Crivelle, Carlos Checa and Toni Elias, though it is also rewarding for car drivers. The circuit is noted for its marked elevation changes, several blind corners and even a track cross-over, giving it a dramatic, almost video-game character despite being relatively little known outside Spain. Sanctioned by both the FIA and FIM, its compact 14-garage pit lane limits its capacity to host top-level international racing, and it serves mainly as a venue for Catalonian regional motorcycle races, track days, manufacturer events and driver training. The wider complex also includes a separate kart track, motocross and supermoto facilities, a racing school and even a paintball area. The main circuit measures about 4.14 km.
