Sprint Course

North Weald Airfield (ICAO: EGSX) is an operational general aviation aerodrome in Essex, England. It was established in 1916 by the Royal Flying Corps during World War I. The airfield played an important part in the air defence strategy of the United Kingdom during World War II, serving as a fighter station during the Battle of Britain. Initially, Hawker Hurricanes and Bristol Blenheim night fighters were deployed here, with Hurricanes seeing action over Dunkirk. Today, it is home to many private aircraft, historic types, the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance helicopter, and is an active flight training airfield. It also houses the North Weald Airfield Museum.
