Circuit
Manfeild Circuit Chris Amon is a permanent motor racing circuit at Feilding in New Zealand's Manawatū-Whanganui region. Built by the Manawatu Car Club, it opened in 1973, and its name fuses Manawatū with Feilding. The venue was substantially extended around 1990 to bring the track up to international standards, and a short Grand Prix configuration of roughly 3.0 km is used alongside the longer full circuit. In November 2016 the facility was renamed in honour of New Zealand Formula One driver Chris Amon. It has staged the New Zealand Grand Prix many times, including a long run of events through the 2010s. The circuit sits within Manfeild Park, a broader multi-purpose events centre operated by the Manfeild Park Trust. The site hosts car and motorcycle racing, track days, and a range of community and exhibition events.
