Circuit
The KymiRing is a motor racing circuit in Iitti, Finland, designed to host top-level international racing. Officially opened in August 2019, it was built to meet both Formula 1 and MotoGP specifications, holding an FIM Grade A classification and FIA Grade 2, with adaptability for Grade 1. The 4.6km main track, designed by Apex Circuit Design, features 17 bends and an 18-meter height difference, taking advantage of the undulating terrain. It is the largest driver training facility of its kind in Scandinavia. The circuit was set to make its MotoGP World Championship debut in 2022 after cancellations in previous years due to the pandemic. Its name comes from the Kymi River, in whose valley the track is located. As of July 2022, the developer was reported as being in administration.
