Circuit
Kinnekulle Ring is a 2.072 km motor racing circuit in Kinnekulle, Sweden, built in 1969. It is an undulating track set in a natural bowl, providing thrills for drivers and good viewing for spectators. The site was originally a military base, with shale oil extraction creating the undulating contours. The track features a swooping section that passes under a bridge, around a loop, and back under the same bridge, creating a bottleneck. It places a premium on handling and traction due to its relatively high average speeds and lack of significant straights. The circuit mainly hosts national and club racing, rallycross, and driver training. It has hosted some international events, including the European Formula Two Championship in 1973, European Rallycross Championship, Norwegian Touring Car Championship, and F4 Danish Championship.
