Circuit
The ExCeL London ePrix Circuit is a temporary street circuit laid out in and around the ExCeL exhibition centre in the Royal Docks area of east London. It became Formula E's first circuit to combine an indoor section, run through the exhibition halls on smooth, purpose-laid tarmac, with an outdoor section over the abrasive public roads of the dockside, creating sharp contrasts in grip and light within a single lap. Formula E had raced in London before, at Battersea Park from 2015 to 2016, before ExCeL was chosen as a new home; the race's debut there, planned for the 2019-20 season, was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic, during which the venue served as the NHS Nightingale hospital, and the first ePrix at ExCeL was eventually held in July 2021. The track layout changed with each visit: a double-hairpin indoor section used in 2021 was replaced by a chicane for 2022, and the circuit was further shortened for the Gen3 era from 2023. The London round became an annual, usually double-header fixture, with winners including Jake Dennis in 2021 and 2022 and Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy in 2023. The FIA billed the August 2026 Hankook London E-Prix weekend as Formula E's final race at this circuit, with the championship's London round relocating to the Brands Hatch circuit from the 2026-27 Gen4 season. ExCeL London itself continues to operate as a large exhibition and convention centre independent of the ePrix.

History
London's Formula E round first ran at Battersea Park from 2015 to 2016, then moved to the ExCeL exhibition centre in the Royal Docks, where it debuted in July 2021 after a pandemic-enforced delay - the venue had briefly served as the NHS Nightingale hospital. Racing partly through the exhibition halls made it Formula E's only indoor/outdoor circuit, with the layout revised for 2022 and again for the Gen3 era from 2023. The FIA confirmed the August 2026 race as Formula E's last at ExCeL, with the series' London round relocating to Brands Hatch for the 2026-27 season.
