Circuit
Darley Moor is a motorcycle road-racing circuit on a plateau near Ashbourne, Derbyshire, England, built on the runways of a former Second World War airfield. The airfield opened in June 1942 and was used for training before passing out of RAF use; the West Midlands Racing Club began racing on the runways under a short lease from April 1965, with sessions restricted to between midday and 6pm under the terms of that early agreement. The circuit's roughly triangular layout, inherited from the runway pattern, combines long straights with a chicane and a set of esses, and runs to about 2.41 km (1.5 miles). Racing today is organised by the Darley Moor Motor Cycle Road Racing Club, which runs a season of club meetings from around March to October together with motorcycle track days between April and October; the wider airfield land is associated with Airways Airsports, which also operates flying training there. In mid-2026 local reporting raised concerns that a Derbyshire Dales District Council development plan could affect the site, though the racing club stated at the time that it had five more years remaining on its lease. The circuit's own site was publishing provisional dates for the 2027 season as of October 2026, indicating racing is expected to continue.

History
Darley Moor occupies the runways of a Second World War airfield that opened in June 1942. After the site left RAF use, the West Midlands Racing Club began racing there under a lease from April 1965, with sessions restricted to between midday and 6pm. Motorcycle racing has continued on the site in the decades since, now organised by the Darley Moor Motor Cycle Road Racing Club.
The circuit
The circuit is a roughly triangular layout inherited from the airfield's runway pattern, around 2.41 km (1.5 miles) long, combining long straights with a chicane and a set of esses. It is used mainly for solo motorcycle and sidecar road racing, with a season of club meetings running from around March to October, and for motorcycle track days between April and October.
