Circuit

Circuito de Navarra is a permanent racing circuit near the town of Los Arcos in the Navarre region of northern Spain, conceived as a multi-discipline complex with a road course, karting track, skid pan and off-road arena. The roughly 50 million euro project was funded by the regional government after the private Samaniego Group first proposed it in 2007, with construction beginning in 2009 and the circuit opening on 19 June 2010. The original layout ran to 3.933 km over 15 turns and demanded a balanced setup, pairing a fast, flowing opening sector with a tighter, more technical second half. In its early years it hosted high-profile international racing including the FIA GT1 World Championship from 2010 to 2012, Superleague Formula and Auto GP in 2010, the Blancpain Endurance Series and the FIA GT Series, plus rounds of the European Truck Racing Championship. Its good weather and proximity to the French border made it a popular testing venue. MotorSport Vision acquired the circuit in November 2022 and carried out a major two-phase redevelopment in 2024, resurfacing the track, re-profiling Turn 6 into a faster corner and adding a roughly 650-metre extension. The reworked Grand Prix layout now measures 4.313 km over 16 turns, with a new banked hairpin at Turn 11 intended to encourage overtaking followed by a demanding fast right-left sequence through Turns 12 and 13. The venue carries FIA Grade 2 and FIM licensing and continues to host series such as TCR Spain, the F4 Spanish Championship and national superbike and truck championships. Multiple shorter configurations allow two layouts to run simultaneously.
