Hill Climb
The Buzet hill climb, known locally as Buzetski dani (Buzet Days), is run on a public mountain road in the hills above Buzet in northern Istria, Croatia. Starting near the hamlet of Most, the timed course climbs roughly five kilometres through some thirty-odd curves and gains around 250 metres of elevation before the finish, making it one of the longer and more demanding ascents on the European calendar. The event grew from a regional Croatian motorsport fixture into an international fixture, and since 2014 it has been a counting round of the FIA European Hill Climb Championship, where it frequently serves as the season-closing autumn meeting. It draws leading hill climb drivers from across Europe along with Croatian and regional national-championship competitors, and a historic category brings older racing and sports cars to the same road. Set within easy reach of the Istrian coast, roughly fifty kilometres from both Poreč and Rijeka, the climb pairs a technical, scenic route with one of Croatia's best-attended motorsport weekends.
