Circuit
Autódromo Ciudad de Oberá is a permanent motor racing circuit located in Misiones Province, Argentina, known for its scenic red-earth landscape and lush green surroundings. Often called "the most picturesque in the northeast," its twisty, undulating layout and natural amphitheatre make it a spectator favorite. Opened in the 1970s as a dirt track, it was asphalted in 1992, becoming Misiones' first paved circuit with twelve turns and a clockwise direction. The track hosted its first Turismo Competición 2000 championship event in 1992, establishing itself on the national stage. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, it became a fixture for national touring and formula series. In 2007, a significant extension created the longer Circuito Nº2, debuting with a high-profile TC2000 event. This extension ensured its continued use for national championships into the 2010s. The circuit retains a friendly club-circuit charm and is cherished by drivers for its challenge.
