Circuit
The Autodromo Guadalajara, also known as the Autodromo Toluquilla, is a multi-use motorsport facility on the southern edge of Guadalajara in the Mexican state of Jalisco, sited close to the city's international airport and the Guadalajara-Chapala highway. Established in 1993, it pairs a road racing course with a drag strip, the two running parallel so that the lower run-off portion of the dragway forms the second straight of the circuit, while the pits and start-finish line sit apart from the drag area. The track is largely flat and predominantly fast and free-flowing, tightening into a relatively twisty complex of corners towards the end of the lap. In the early 2000s two shorter variations were added, though these have seen little use beyond motorcycle trackdays. The circuit is owned by Dipsa Motorsports and operated as a sister venue to the Autodromo Monterrey. In recent years the major national championships have largely passed it by, not helped by a deteriorating surface, though a complete resurfacing in 2020 raised hopes of a return to greater prominence. Alongside its regular drag racing, the venue continues to host local and regional events, trackdays, promotional activities and general testing.
