A1 Motor Park, Racing Circuit

A1 Motor Park is a 3.910 km (2.430 mi) permanent motor racing circuit located in Samokov, Bulgaria, approximately 55 km south of Sofia. Originally founded as Lara Racing Circuit, its construction began on March 10, 2025, financed by private investment. The circuit was designed to meet FIA Grade 3 and FIM Category BA standards, making it suitable for Formula 3, GT3, endurance, and most motorcycle races. A1 Bulgaria became the title sponsor on December 9, 2025. The track officially opened on March 21, 2026, with local Formula 2 driver Nikola Tsolov completing the first laps. Unofficial lap records were set by Pavel Lefterov (1:30.991 in a Porsche 911 GT3 R) on March 24, 2026, and Georgi Donchev (1:30.579 in a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo 2) on April 20, 2026.
