The Stock Car Pro Series is one of Brazil's premier auto racing championships, established in 1979 and sanctioned by the Brazilian Automobile Federation (CBDA). The series features a diverse field of drivers competing in identical Chevrolet Monza cars over a season-long campaign. Each race typically consists of two sprint races on Saturday and Sunday, with points awarded based on finishing positions. Notable champions include Rubens Barrichello, who won the title in 1992 before transitioning to Formula One. The series continues to thrive as one of Brazil's most popular motorsports events.
