Formula 1 World Championship
The pinnacle of motorsport — the FIA Formula One World Championship.
2026 · 18 of 23About F1
Formula 1 is the highest class of international single-seater motor racing, governed by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile). Teams, known as constructors, design and build their own open-wheel, open-cockpit cars to a strict set of technical rules (the "formula"), and each fields two drivers. The season runs as a series of Grand Prix races on purpose-built circuits and street tracks around the world. Drivers and teams earn points based on finishing positions, and at the end of the season those points decide two titles: the Drivers' Championship and the Constructors' Championship. F1 is known for cutting-edge engineering, speeds above 200 mph (320 km/h), and its global following.
