2026 · 12 of 14About F2
The FIA Formula 2 Championship is the final step on the single-seater ladder to Formula 1, racing identical Dallara chassis with a spec turbocharged V6 on grand prix support bills. Each round pairs a sprint race with a feature race including a mandatory pit stop, schooling drivers in F1-style racecraft. Champions — from Leclerc to Piastri — have routinely graduated straight into Formula 1 seats.
