British Supersport Championship

The Quattro Group British Supersport Championship is Britain's premier middleweight motorcycle racing class, contested on the British Superbike Championship support bill. Run to Supersport Next-Generation rules, it puts the traditional 600cc fours alongside Triumph's 765 triple, the MV Agusta 800 and the Ducati Panigale V2 twin under a balanced-performance formula, and the grid now mixes Ducati, Honda, Triumph and Yamaha at the front. For nearly three decades the class has been restricted to production-based models and has been the proving ground for riders stepping up to superbikes, with sprint and feature races at every BSB round, Assen included, deciding the title.
