About Sportbike

The Pirelli British Sportbike Championship (National Sportbike until 2025) is a national motorcycle racing series on the British Superbike support programme. A 95hp performance equivalence on a control Mektronic ECU lets mid-size production twins and triples from Aprilia, CFMoto, Kawasaki, Kove, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha race together on slick tyres, with the Yamaha R7, Aprilia RS 660, Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Triumph Daytona 660 the familiar shapes on the grid. Introduced in 2024 and renamed for 2026 to mirror the FIM Sportbike World Championship, the class is the stepping stone from the junior ranks toward Supersport and Superbike competition, racing at eleven BSB rounds across the UK's short circuits.
