About Asian Le Mans Series

The Asian Le Mans Series is an esteemed endurance racing championship governed by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO). This championship serves as the winter counterpart to the European Le Mans Series, providing teams and drivers with the opportunity to showcase their skills in a competitive format across diverse circuits in Malaysia and the Middle East. Established in 2013, the series has steadily grown in reputation, featuring a mix of sports prototypes and GT cars that race over a variety of distances, typically between 4 to 6 hours. Points are awarded based on finishing positions, contributing towards the overall championship that recognizes outstanding performance in both driver and team categories. From the 2026/27 season onwards, the Asian Le Mans Series will pioneer the inclusion of Hypercars, allowing it to remain at the forefront of endurance racing. This significant development will see the series aligning with global trends in sports car racing. Notable champions have emerged from the series, paving their way to prestigious events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where winners of the Asian Le Mans Series are awarded entries, adding to the allure and competitive spirit of the championship. As of now, the series continues to thrive, attracting international participation and promoting race events that emphasize camaraderie and the spirit of competition.
