Promoter
Straightliners, together with its sister body UK&ITA (UK & International Timing Association), organises straight-line motorsport across the UK — drag racing, top-speed testing, sprints, wheelie and land-speed record events for anything on wheels, from motorbikes to supercars. Its "steppingstones" licensing approach takes newcomers from friendly Top Speed Testing days through half-mile and standing-mile record events toward national and world land-speed record attempts. The organisation led the community campaign that rebuilt Melbourne Raceway in 2020 and runs its championship rounds there, with further events at venues including Elvington Airfield and Pendine Sands.
